Agreement Letter 2018: Results
As a consequence of the above, it has been possible to prepare and submit to FAO, five research cases with the COLPOS Graduate College of Mexico, University of Piura, PAD of Peru and the Polytechnic University of Madrid (two cases in Colombia and Chile) that They allowed to appreciate the enormous potential that the IAR principles and the DVGT have in the near future.
Cases of Applied Research in relation to the IAR Principles
- Family farming in the Puebla Valley (Mexico): Linking, transfer and dissemination of innovation with COLPOS
- Food Security Project at local level in the Latin American context, with the UPM
- Peruvian Poultry Association (APA): an experience of business cooperation in Peru, with the PAD
- Alternative Development and Illicit crops in La Macarena (Colombia)
- Land Governance and the Mapuche conflict (Chile)
RESULTS: COMMITMENTS ACHIEVED
The Conference held in Lima and Bogotá brought together Authorities and academic managers from 27 Universities from 6 countries: Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Argentina and Spain.
Fifteen Universities committed themselves, formalizing Acts of Commitment, to design and insert curricular products officially in the academic Programs (Degree and Postgraduate or Master Programs) that develop content of IAR Principles and DVGT in their different forms. Additionally, some universities show commitments in relation to Outreach and Research projects and activities for the application of the IAR and DVGT principles in collaboration with public and private entities.
