Agreement Letter 2016: Objectives
The Principles for Responsible Investment in Agriculture (IAR Principles), approved by the Committee on Food Security in October 2014, are intended to contribute to food security and nutrition and to the improvement of sustainable livelihoods for young children. producers, with a comprehensive, responsible and environmentally friendly vision, and supporting the right to adequate food in the context of national food security.
Aiming at the dissemination of the IAR Principles, the FAO instructs the GESPLAN research group at the Polytechnic University of Madrid to carry out Workshop Days with different approaches:
- Territorial research workshops in two disadvantaged communities selected in Latin America
- Reflection and debate with businessmen, academics and civil society actors linked to agrifood systems in Spain
